(It is a continuation from yesterday.)
I am not a specialist of synthetic voice technology, so I am afraid that I cannot evaluate this software. However, the quality is greater than the software I used four years ago, at least.
As far as I have heard the voice,
- No misreading (She completely read aloud Patent Law Article 2 (definition))
- Almost accurate intonation.
- Calm and beautiful woman voice.
I asked my wife hear the voice, and she said "It is the level that I can recognize being a woman in a PC"
It is one article to think, "It was good for me to buy it".
-----
About the section of Japanese voice, "Turing test" has already been passed.
Thank you very much for returning your questionnaire about the interview of diet, and especially I enjoy reading your comments at the bottom of this questionnaire.
If I can get your permission of open about your comment, I am going to open it.
On the second thought, it is natural that people who are kind of accepting my proposal are.
"are on a winning team of diet"
I am overcome by "a passion for their original diet methods" in the comment column.
-----
In particular,
Q:I had had an experiment to buy a material for diet by mid-night advertising program.
About the above question, all persons answered "No". But yesterday, only one person said "Yes", however,
about the next question,
Q:It is a secret againg my family or others,
the answer is not "Yes".
How to say, I cannot come into "dark side" view of diet.
-----
About the people who are kind of accepting my proposal,
I believe that
many of them never pick up a book whose title is like "Easy and enjoy diet"
From now, I am going to start the data analysis using the questionnaire,
(Continuation from yesterday)
This time, in the kindness of Mr. president, to invite me to the convivial party, I had the opportunity to talk directly with Mr.Martin Rostan, an Executive Director of EtherCAT Technology Group.
Mr. president's English was very fluent, so what I did was just to hear their conversation with smiling.
When the topic of my columns about the EtherCAT series was coming, Mr.Martin Rostan looked as puzzled with hearing the story of "Master and Maids".
-----
Immediately, I said a perfect, necessary and sufficient English comment to him.
"Pretty girls in an Akihabara area"
He seemed to have nodded deeply,
So, I expected that he remembered both the maids and me.
In the summer of last year, my senior daughter asked me a question about world history.
Daughter(D):"Papa, what is "Road to Canossa" ?"
Ebata(E):"Basically, it was a historical happening that a religious power was superior to secular power. To begin with, "power" has been based on the "violent forces" like army or police...
D:" That's not it. I want to know what it means"
E:"Well.. Let me think . Of course, it is just a parable,
"His Majesty the Emperor continues to kneel on the ground for three days and nights in the snow in order to offer an apology to the top of Hongan-ji temple"
Could you understand what this happening means ?
D:" Yes... Yes. Papa, I could understand well."
About Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, I think that I have rough knowledge by reading various books since I was young.
However, recently I noticed that I do not know about familiar "Japanese gods".
And one day,
"I do a lot of wasteful things"
I noticed that.
Because in many parts of Japan, there is a "shrine" closer to the nearest convenience store (including a small shrine without the owner).
With the knowledge of "Japanese gods", I thought that I can enjoy deeply about shrines.. not convenience stores.
-----
So, what I did is that I bought a manga.
"Magora and Kana put Tsukkomi(complains) in Japanese gods"
-----
In this book, the primary school girl whose name is "Kana" will do sharp tsukkomi (strange, contradictory, irrational, etc.) about "Japanese gods", and they are very convincing Tsukkomi.
In criticism of "God (of the history and behavior)", this book makes us understand "Japanese gods" and really a great book.
I will send the greatest tribute to Mogura-san who is the author.
-----
Noteworthy point is a two-page spread with the correlation diagram restricted to the representative "Japanese gods" from roughly eight million.
I think this is a correlation diagram that is valuable to memorize and remember for the rest of my life.
I already read this book nearly 100 times - I am reading it in the bath everyday, so it is already terrible.
-----
So, I went to "Izumo Taisha" with the time of the gap to flight back to Haneda this time - I was excited a lot.

It sounds like a simple thing, such as "check your weight every day", but this is terribly difficult.
To tell you the truth it is "fear"
For people who have already reached their target weight, are going towards their target weight, they may be able to feel easy or enjoy themselves.
However, for those who imagine their ideal weight in their head, "check their weight daily" is depression and it is painful (I had experienced that).
And the bigger the distance between reality and ideal, the greater the pain becomes. I can understand the feeling well.
The reason why you can not execute "Turn on time 3 seconds, cost 0 yen" such as "check your weight everyday" is
The negative cost of making one day depressed, that means it might cost several thousand yen (?)
will occur.
-----
I will summarize the story so far.
(1) Recording diet has quantitative effects objectively.
(2) Recording diet makes negative cost that depresses you for one day
One hypothesis is derived from these two facts.
"Negative mentals that make one day depressed, make a successful diet"
Based on the hypothesis, the following is also derived.
(A)The diet is going well if you check the gap between ideal and real weight of yours.
In addition,
(B)The gap is bigger, the effect of diet also become bigger.
-----
"Pain is the key to accomplish the goal"
I think that the hypothesis will not be verified. because there are a lot of result around the world.
However, from the viewpoint of my policy
"Life with no pain, Death with no pain"
This is really painful hypothesis for me.

It's different in ideology and direction from weddings and funerals. however, there are some cult groups in Japan that say stupid things like "we can beat the coronary disaster by faith and rituals".
I have no more words to say about their "incompetence".
Also, in the world, at least two gurus who have performed such missions have died from COVID-19 infections (even I know).
For them, I don't have any feeling of compassion, mourning at all.
Rather, I think that such gurus and followers may be identified as "terrorists."
Nevertheless, I am unwilling to call the idiots spreading the bullshit that "you can beat the corona disaster by faith and ritual" a "bioterrorist".
----
So, here's one new social evil to define "incompetence", and I would like to suggest that we call the cult groups that disseminate such ignorant doctrines
"incompetent terrorists".

However, there seems to have been a problem with the way I did my research.
I have asked the nursing home various questions via e-mail and other means in the process leading up to this hospitalization.
The approach to the question was what we call the "engineering approach".
We asked questions in the form of (1) background, (2) purpose, (3) summary of questions, and (4) details of questions, but apparently this form of questioning "frightened" the people in the field.
My sister told me that it was like an internal search for the culprit: "Who made me (Ebata) write this kind of questionnaire report?" It seemed to be like an internal search for the culprit.
When my sister heard about the situation...
"My brother is a strange one"
She had a hard time reassuring the people in the field by saying so.
"He's a columnist, a researcher, and he's writing a series of articles about care and death of our parents.
She had a lot of work to do to put out the fire.
-----
Ebata: "I was simply stating the questions I wanted to ask, without emotion, objectively, and as clearly as possible..."
Daughter: "Your report is 'scary' enough on its own for the average person."
Ebata: "Then I guess that I should be illogical, come up with whatever I can think of, and deliberately I make it hard to read."
Wife: "Well, try adding a 'heart mark' or a 'character' to the report, that might soften the impression.
Ebata: "Yeah, I can't do that. I think I'd kill myself on impulse if I wrote that sentence -- at least, I don't think it's achievable in this life."
When I was a teenager, the Cold War was a realistic fear.
The arrival of nuclear missiles and the landing of Soviet (x Russian) troops in Hokkaido was a real possibility.
On the other hand, I had never thought about a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
China was poor then (believe it or not, now).
Including me,
"50 years later, Kyiv has been invaded, not Hokkaido"
Such a future was unimaginable to anyone 50 years ago.
To begin with, Ukraine was one of the constituent states of the Soviet Union.
Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union (1991) can be grasped in the same way that Hokkaido became independent from Japan as "Hokkaido koku."
-----
I once told my daughters about Ukraine and Taiwan using a paradim,
"If Hijikata Toshizo and Enomoto Takeaki had succeeded in establishing the nation of Hokkaido in the Restoration War,"
However, they did not understand me at all.
I think that the Hokkaido version of "Rurouni Kenshin" has not been animated.
(Or the Bakumatsu version of "Golden Kamuy," for example.)
