The old days, reporters of weather forecast made an irresponsible statement.
I can put the statement out immediately now.
"Fair, later, occasionally cloudy. Sudden shower or thundershower in some areas "
Everybody can understand that the above phrase is "zero information", so I don't need to introduce you the Channon's information theory,
(To tell you the truth, the phrase includes information of "no snow" or "no typhoon")
In fact, it is said that "weather forecast" is one of the most difficult problems.
Even there are a lot of climate monitoring points in Japan, and weather satellite from the satellites' orbits.
According to the calculation difficulty, both "battfly effect" are "weather forecast" is always argued at the same time.
-----
Recently I often come across some younger researchers in the office
who are trying to watch the earth image from the satellite in their PC display.
The day before yesterday, the younger checked the snow in Kanto area.

Until it is the Meiji era, to establish a calendar and expect weather are the duties that it is important and are monopolistic of the government.
It was a kind of the authority of the power of the states.
Then staring at a real-time picture of the earth from a weather satellite and doing "a weather forecast" by oneself are perfect
"Revolution"
I think.
