(Continuation from yesterday)
Before starting serious "programming education", we will make the children feel
"I see. That is how to use a computer isn't it?"
"Math is more useful than I have expected isn't it?"
These are the most important purpose, I think.
If they can make full use of "Excel", I believe that we make no never mind of programming.
Because, most of the calculations in the world are going to be finished.
On the other hand, there are another purpose of programming, for example, "communication", "database access" and "Web I/F" and so on,
however, Excel can has their function with MACRO scripts.
If they come to use the MACRO scripts, it is easier for them to change Excel with programming.
When they start to feel "Excel is too poor to solve the problem",
we will give them a lot of know-hows of serious programming as "pragmatic learning".

Turning off the topic, however
I had push my daughters to go to abacus school when they were primary schoolers, thought I have taken thought for such a power with my view.
