In the middle of heavy rain in the western Japan, I'm attending an international conference of Yonago Tottori prefecture, which is held like the eyes of the typhoon damaged by heavy rain.
-----
On the moving day, at the Shin-Yokohama station, the stationer said to me, "there is no way to reach Yonago from the ground".
I persisted in resisting them with saying "even if you think so, at least one ground route (by a temporary bus)", "any devious route is O.K." however, they declared me,
"No route to reach Yonago"
So, I cancelled all reserved tickets soon, and I went to Haneda airport directly, and I was waiting for cancellation at the boarding gate all the time.
-----
Even after me, the high-class person(e.g. "star alliance member", "gold member") is breaking into line.
I understand that it cannot be helped, however, I could remember "class hatred" for the first time in several ten years(Now I am a typical conservative)
-----
Fortunately I was able to board an airplane, however I did not meet the audition of the first day session (my presentation was not the day, so I didn't have to cancel it).
Well, still I think that the domestic resident managed somehow, but I was really sorry for participants from overseas.
Of course, some people should have to cancel their presentations, in opposition to,
- Using a slightly recovered land road, the others came over at the late night bus, tried their presentation with being worn out,
- traced transit four times (including international flights)
and heard the story of
- "entering Yonago via Seoul"
how to talk, I could not finish with just a word of "sorry".
(Even in the presentation of such persons, I was questioning mercily repeatly)
-----
Even now, there is no way to return from Yonago to my house except for the air route and some overland land.
The following was a conversation at Yonago station yesterday.
Ebata: "Are you going to recover tomorrow and the day after tomorrow?"
Station staff: "This is a story of" Order after one month "
-----
I will devote all my efforts to securing air freight.
