本日、WindowsXPのサポートが終了します。
Today, the support of Windows XP is finished.
ここ半年くらいずっと不思議に思ってきたのですが、Microsoft社が、XPからの移行を叫び続けるのは当然として、
I am wondering why not only Microsoft Co, but also technical news sites are announcing the risk of keeping using XP with change color.
なんで、技術系のニュースメディアが、そんなに血相変えて、情宣しているのだろう、というのが、なんとなく良く分からんのです。
当然、どこからから「金」が流れてきている、というのは理解できるのですが、「WindowsXPを使い続けると危険だぞー 」という情宣が、一体、誰の利益になるのかが、どうにもよく分からん。
Of course, I know well that some money flow in the news site. But I don't know who tries to spend money for the purpose.
■OSのインストールを請け負うSIer、または保守会社
- SIer and maintenances Co. that works for a new OS install.
■新規のパソコンを買って貰いたいメーカー
- PC makers that want to sell a new PC.
■セキュリティソフトのメーカー
- Security soft warehouse.
ってところでしょうか。
and so on.

For me, I think that this is rare business change.

The catchy slogan is,
"We keep saving your company securities with Windows XP for more than ten years"
って。
でもそういう広告を、一度も見なかったところを見ると、やっぱり自信ないんだろーなーと思います。
But I could never watch such advertisement, so they are not confident in themselves.
それでセキュリティ事故が起きたら、即、倒産に追い込まれるでしょうしね。
If any security accident happens, the company is going to be bankruptcy.

私が「どの口でWindowsのことを語っているのか」とも思っています。
Anyway, I am afraid that I am presumptuous to tell about the Windows.
20年以上前、私はGUIのコンピュータなんか流行る訳がないと考えていた一人です。
I am one of the engineers who thought that GUI based computers never run rampant.
―― コンピュータのインターフェースは、CUIだけだ、と。
"CUI" is only interface for computers.
で、当時、私と同じようなことを言っている人は、ゴロゴロいました。ちょっと調べて頂ければ、今でも出てくると思います。
And there were really a lot of engineers who told everyone to the same messages.
You could find the name with search engine easily.
今、なお、技術分野で偉そうなことを言っている人たちです(私が名指しにすると、名誉毀損になりますので、名前は出しませんが)
However they are now acting all high and mighty for technical field, I never pick their names up in fear for alleged defamer

てなことを考えていた日本人エンジニアは、結構な数います。
