This weekend, I have written a column about the Article 772 of civil law (estimate of the legitimacy of birth)

執筆をしている私の部屋に、娘が入ってきて夏の宿題を持って入ってきました。私の部屋にはクーラが入っているからです。

My senior daughter came in my room with her summer homework, because the cooler was working.

休憩の時間に、娘と雑談をしていた時の会話です。

The following is the conversation with my daughter.

江端：「772条1項の規定によればだな、ママが浮気をして他の人との子どもを生んだとしても、それは、法律上、全てパパの子どもになるんだ」

Ebata: "According to the rule of Article 772 Clause 1, even if mom has an affair and had a child of another man, all of them become my children legally.

長女：「全部、パパの子？」

Daughter: "Are all children yours?"

江端：「そう」

Ebata: "Yes."

長女：「ママが外国人と浮気した場合も？」

Daughter: "Does mom has an affair with a foreigner?"

江端：「そう」

Ebata: "Yes."

長女：「青い目をした子どもでも、パパの子？」

Daughter: "Blue eye's child?"

江端：「肌の色の違う子でも、全てパパの子だ」

Ebata: "Even if they have different skin color"

長女：「ひゅー! パパ、やるじゃん!!」

Daughter: "Papa, You are cool!"

何が「やるじゃん」のか分かりませんが、まあ娘の言わんとしていることは、なんとなく分かりました。

Thought I didn't understand what the "cool" mean, I understood what my daughter was going to say somehow.
