入試一週間前の明け方、午前5時。

凍った星の瞬きを仰ぎつつ、車内の温度を確認すると、丁度、摂氏0度でした。
It was just zero degrees centigrade when I confirmed temperature in the car while seeing the blink of the frozen star.
冷え切った自動車の助手席に、通信カードを繋いだノートパソコンを搭載し、予定の時刻ピッタリに、近くの駅に向けて出発しました。
In the cold indoor, I put my notePC tied a communications on assistant driver's seat. And I left for station nearby just in time.
その駅で、数分停車した後、電車の運行スケジュールテーブルを睨みながら、前日にシミュレーションした通りの道を寸分違わず運転し続けました。
After stopping at the station for a few minutes, I watched the time table of the train, and I kept driving the road I had simulated the previous day accurately.
丘陵部にさしかかったところで、朝日が登ってきたので、私は、朝食かわりのリンゴを齧り始めました。
When I went to the hill area, I saw that the morning sun was rising, and I started biting an apple as a breakfast.
電車の乗換駅のロータリーに到着した所で、その時間を自分の携帯電話のメモに書き込み、所定の時間待った後、受験校の最寄りの駅に向けて運転を再開しました。
When I arrived at the rotary of the transfer station of the train, I wrote my arrival time at my cell-phone memo. Waiting for the scheduled time, I started again driving to the examination school.
カーナビの指示を受けながら、入り組んだ道を進み続けて、目的地である受験校の前についたのは、『電車を使っていたとした場合の到着時刻の3分後』でした。
I got the route information from my car navigation system and went ahead through the complicated small road. It was three minutes later in the time of the train arrival station near the school.

私の考えた作戦は、「電車の運行に併せて、自動車を併走させる」というものでした。
