2015年4月28日の日記で、

In the diary of April 27th 2015, I wrote

「昨日の続きを掲載しようと思ったのですが、そっくりそのまま、その媒体を某所に置き忘れてきてしまいました。 」

"I wanted to open the yesterday's diary continuance, but I have left the medium in a certain place literally."

と書きました。

今日は、その内容を記載します。

(Continuation from April 27th 2015)

―― で、まあ、何が言いたいかというと、

Eventually what I want to say is that

GWなどの大型連休で帰宅した、娘や息子、その配偶者が、「なんだか良く分からんけど、激怒している」ことに、戸惑っているお父様やお母様。

Fathers and mothers, who are confused with the furious attitude of their daughters, sons and their partners,

あなたたちは、その理由の殆んどが、その「あなたたちの言動や振舞い」にあることに、いい加減に、気がつくべきです。

should mind your actions and behaviors against their courtesy.

GWなどの大型連休の前には、ちゃんと希望リストを頭の中で整え、彼らとの会話を想定し、自分の意志を、常識の範囲ないで明確にはっきり言う。

Before the long vacation like golden week, you pick up your hopes, simulate the conversations with them and make clear your intention within the bounds of common sense.

これができないと、彼らは、理由をつけて実家に帰ってこなくなります。

If you don't do them, your daughter, sons and their partner will not go their country home back.

不愉快だからです。

They feel uncomfortable to talk to you.

考えれば明かなことですが、

Obviously,

「今の一人暮しの気楽な生活やパートナーや家族との生活が、昔の実家の生活に劣る」などということがある訳がありません。

it is nonsense that the old life in country home is inferior to the present life of easy single or with partner and family

「住めば都」とは、「去れば廃墟」ということです。

"Home is where you make it" is equal to "ruins where I leave"

悪いことは言いません。

Please take my following advice.

『実家は、彼らにとっても最も休まる所』などというアホな幻想は、とっとと捨てて、

You should abandon the foolish illusion that is "the country home is the most comfortable place for them in the world" as soon as possible, and

彼らを前提としない、自分だけで自分を楽しませるモノを見付け出して下さい。

you might find something that lets you enjoy by yourself not based on the existence of your daughters, sons and their partners.
