先日、ある新企画会議の為、ある出版社のOさんと、ある会社の社長のKさんと打ち合わせをする機会を頂きました。
The other day, I could get a chance to talk with Mr.O of a certain publishing company and Mr.K as a director general of a certain company about a new planning.
ところが、予定した時間に、その3人が3人とも出張中という状況になってしまいました。
However, at the scheduled time, all three of them were on a business trip.
特に、社長のKさんは、海外出張中とのことでしたので、私は、『あとで、Kさんに、打ち合わせの内容を報告しなければなあ』というくらいに思っていました。
Especially since Mr. K, president, was on business trip abroad, I thought "I should report the contents of the meeting to Mr. K later."
その時間、Kさんは、ポーランドのプロツワフという場所にいらっしゃって(私はポーランドと言えば、ワルシャワくらいしか知らない)、
At that time, Mr. K came to a place called Prozwaw airport in Poland(I just know "Warsaw" airport in Poland),
しかも、その時間は、移動の為、空港でボーティングしている、という状況でした。
Moreover, he was voting at the airport for the movement.
しかし、Kさんは、Skypeによる電話会議を提案されてきました。
However, Mr. K proposed a telephone conference by Skype.
私は、世の中の社長さんには、こういう"Never give up"の精神が、デフォルトで実装されているんだろうな、と感心していました。
I admired that for all presidents in the world, their spirit of such "Never give up" would be implemented by default.

しかし、私は、スマホビギナーで、Skype経験がありません。
But I was a smart-phone beginner and I did not have Skype experience.
(昔、シンガポールの人に、英会話を教えて貰う為、パソコンでSkypeを使っていた程度です)。
(I used to be Skype on a PC in the past, to Singapore for English conversation lessons).
加えて、私のスマホは、月額500円の、通信帯域最低量のデータ通信専用端末です。
In addition, my smartphone is based on the menu of minimum communication band of 500 yen per month.
―― こんな環境で、国際電話会議が成立するか？
"Could we succeed an international teleconference under such an environment?"
と不安でした。
I had been worried.
