Artificial intelligence of treasure - is close to the problem, and give us the optimal solution gently

先日、大きな書店に行ったのですが、「人工知能(AI)」のコーナーができていて、色々な本がディスプレイされていました。

The other day, when I went to a big book store, I found a book corner of "AI" and various kinds of books.

パラパラと読んでみたのですが、所感はこんな感じですね。

I read leaf through and I felt the following,

(1)「基本的に嘘は書いていない」

(1)"No liar, basically"

(2)「過剰にAI技術の効果(恐怖等も)を語っているようなこともない」

(2)"No excessive expression of AI effect(including "fear")

(3)「将来のサービス/アプリは夢一杯だが、その根拠の記載はない」

(3)"Future services / apps are full of dreams, but there is no description of the backgrounds"

という感じですね。

私以前、日本のプログラマー人口の推定をしてみたのですが、その結果からも、AIのプログラミングの本を購読するユーザは、相当に少ないハズです。

Before I have tried estimating the population of Japanese programmers. As a result, the number of users who want to buy AI programming books is quite small.

例えば、深層学習をプログラミングのレベルで理解しているエンジニア(プログラマー、研究者等)は、政令指定都市(50万人)に4人しかいない、という結果を出しています。

For example, a number of engineers (programmers, researchers, etc.) who understand deep learning at the level of programming, is only four people in government-designated cities (500,000 people).

これらの本を購入するだろう人々のほとんどは、AIを"技術的に理解する"ではなく、"知識を取得する"ことを目的として、購入するんだろうなぁ、と推定しています。

I estimate that most people will purchase these books, for the purpose of "acquiring knowledge" instead of "understanding AI technically".

で、AIブームは、そういう方たちに支えられていて、私たちエンジニアの研究資金という形で落ちてきている訳ですから ――

So the AI boom is being supported by those people, and gives engineers like me, research funds.

そういう恩恵を受けている私としては、以下のように申し上げなければならないと考えています。
