しかし、このような技術や語学の勉強方法が、コスト(費用や時間)に見合うか、は検討する必要があるかもしれません。

However, it may be necessary to consider whether such techniques and language study methods are worth the cost (cost and time).

ある語学や特定の技術に精通している人を安い値段で確実に確保できるなら、わざわざ自分で勉強する必要はありません。

You don't have to study on your own if you can keep a specialist of foreign languages and specific skills .

しかし、大抵の場合、そのような人材の確保は、恐しく難しいです。

But in most cases, keeping such talent is terribly difficult.

そのような人材の雇用コストは高く、そして、奪い合いになります(大抵の場合、早いもの勝ち)。

Employment costs for such people are high and competing.

その人材を確保する為だけに、「架空の仕事を発注する」などということを行う会社もあるくらいです。

There are even companies that do "order fictitious work" just to keep the human resources.

『自分で勉強して、語学や技術を取得するのは、かったるい上に、時間がかかる』

というのも理解できます。

is reasonable.

つまり、これは、

This is a comparison between

「自分で勉強して使えるようなるコスト」

"The cost of studying and acquiring skills"

と

and

「勉強して使えるようになった人を確保するコスト」

"The cost of keeping people who have alreay studied and acquired skills"

の比較の話です。

そして、コストが安い方が選ばれるのが、市場原理というものです。

And choosing the one with the lowest cost is a market principle.

しかし、ここで、もう一段階考えておくことがあります。

But we have to think one more upper step. That is

「自分で勉強して語学や技術を使えるようになった自分」

"I who am studying and acquiring skills"

と、

or

「語学や技術を使える使える人間を、確保できるようになった自分」

"I who can keep people who have alreay studied and acquired skills"

には、どちらに市場価値があるか、ということです。

The question is which one has market value.
