いや、別に私の英語の能力が向上したのではなく、コンテクスト(文脈)を読みとる能力が、年齢とともに向上してきた感じがするのです。
Of course I know that my English ability has not improved, however, the ability to read the context, It feels, have improved.
『この話の流れだと、今、話している内容は、こんな感じになっているはずだ』という、なんと言うんですか ―― 『文脈事前予測能力』 ―― とでも言うのでしょうか、そういうものは、年齢とともに上がってきているようなんです。

実際、今回の国際学会、若者からご高齢の方まで、沢山の方が参加されているのですが、アジア(日本を含む)ご高齢の方の英語は、なんというか「ソツがない」のです。
Indeed, a lot of people, from young people to elderly people, are participating from this international conference, andn I noticed that Asian old person's English is, how to say, faultless.
質問もそれに対する対応も、(内容を誤解していたとしても、その誤解している事実も含めて)『まあまあ、分かるよね』の英語なんです
About questions and responses (even if I misunderstood the contents, including the misunderstanding facts) I could say, "Well, I understood it"

なのです。
で、国際学会ですら、この「外していない英語」で十分なのです。
