私が悩んでいる時に、以前、コラムの執筆でお世話になった医師の方 ―― 「轢断のシバタ先生」からメールを頂きました。

私は、シミュレーションに賛成です。
I agree with simulation.
理由は、
The reasons are followings,
■集団免疫獲得までの時間を、シミュレーションで算出したい
- I want to calculate the time until the acquisition of population immunity by simulation
■永遠に指数関数の持続するネズミ講や感染症は存在しない。いずれ必ず定常化または消滅する未来が示されることになる
- There is no rodent or infectious disease that has an exponential function forever. A future that will always be steady or disappearing will be shown
■ゴールが見えれば、みんなきっとがんばれる
- Coming to see the goal, everyone will do their best
■最悪な結果が出たら、それを起こさないように対策が立てられる

■総合的に社会的利益に資する

一応、シミュレーション反対の意見も私の中にあります。
For now, there is an opinion against simulation in my mind.
■たぶん、ダイヤモンドプリンセス号(からの感染)が日本に拡大されるので、甘く見積もっても日本人の1割、1000万人超の感染者が発生しても不思議は無い。

■2週で2倍、20週で1000倍、現在、どうせ1万人は感染者が居るはずと考えると、1000万人突破まで集団免疫効果を勘案しなければで5ヶ月で到達する可能性も捨てきれない

正直、オリンピックは勝手に潰れると思って居ます。

誰のせいでも無く、仕方なく、当たり前に、やめましょうと言うことにならざるを得ないと思います。

しかし、今の瞬間にインパクトのある数字をたたきつけると、「国会で野党に読み上げられる」可能性があります。

(万一そうなったらYouTuberとして生活できそうな気がしないでも無いですが)

This email was received immediately after this diary, but now I reread it,
『シバタ先生、かなり的確に未来予測されているなぁ』
"Dr.Shibata could predict the future accurately"
と、
and
『"オリンピックを潰した男"になりそこねたなぁ』
"I failed to become the man who crushed the Olympics
という感想です。
I had the above impressions.

ところが、後日、『"オリンピックを潰した男"になる可能性は、ほとんどなかった』ということが、別の方からのメールで判明することになります。
However, at a later date, a mail told me that there is no possibility of "man who crushed the Olympics."
