Yesterday, I could finish constructing a programming environment, based on Windows7(64bit version) to execute a program that use more than 2GB memory.

So, I am feeling happier from this morning.

-----

After writing the above phrase, I think it is just spell for everyone.

It is impossible to share the happy feeling with entire world.

Ebata:"Possible to process more than 100 million data in my personal computer!"

My wife: "So what is good for us?"

-----

Maybe, some kinds of person who are called "Otaku" have faced some situation, and especially "collector" should be noticeable.

"What make you enjoy, when you have more than two same things?"

"What is different of the two?"

"What is the value of these things?"

The collector will get angry with only the above three questions.

I think the questioner is not guilty.

The collector is wrong because he/she talks about the topics.

-----

Generally speaking, engineers don't tell others about their jobs. Even if family is. They can't understand their jobs.

When I was asked about my jobs from my daughter, because of her homework, my wife cried,

"Eventually I could understand what you have done"

That is the reason for this funny story.

At home, our family often talk about some heavy social problem.

Because I pick up the topic ordinarily.

The other day, I chatted about "life-sustaining treatment" with my daughter.

-----

Ebata:"In conclusion, you don't want "life-sustaining treatment" with keeping alive at a vegetative level.

Daughter:"O.K."

Ebata:"To tell you the truth, I never want to think of turning the life-prolonging system off to kill my daughter by myself. I do ask you to avoid such a accident with your ultimate effort.

Daughter:"Effort..."

Ebata:"Effort is effort. For example, let you try to communicate me, even if you are at a vegetative level.

Daughter:"It is nonsense, Well,I have one wish to you."

Ebata:"What?"

Daughter:"Please turn the device off without talking.

Ebata:"What does it mean?"

Daughter:"Even if I am in a vegetable level, I think that there is no grantee to pass our or lose five senses."

Ebata:"You are right. I can hardly say with any finality that there is no possibility to keep your brain activate, if your neural signals that are hard to get by measurements, exist."

Daughter:"So, is it possible for me to understand what you are talking, even if I am in a vegetable level?"

Ebata:"Yes, it is."

Daughter:"Under the situation, you talk "Sorry, but I am going to turn off the device" to me."

Ebata:"And?"

Daughter:"If I want to cry "Papa, stop it really, really. Kidding? yawp, yawp, yawp", I am not happy am I?"

Ebata:"It should be an overwhelming horror story."

Daughter:"So I ask you to turn off the device without making me notice it. for example chatting about weather"

Ebata:"Your order is complicated really."

(Continuation from yesterday) ――

"What on earth was my 20 years I have suffered from gastric camera?"

I really thought of it.

The cost of of just the operation of gastric camera was 11,500 yen.

I am sure that it is not cheap, however,

considering a cost-effective, I could say that it is deadly inexpensive.

-----

The hospital that has hired a poor fucking endoscopy operator, for example, such a hospital,

should collapses in reputation.

We don't need the hospitals and operators.

We have already entered in "painless gastric camera era".

-----

On the other hand, it made me think deeply that this my experiment "blocking of consciousness, such as television outlet is turned off suddenly".

It was a special non-daily of in my daily.

"It is a "death" maybe"

I am an owner of the Internet Domain "kobore.net".

Now, getting the Internet domain name on individual basis, was not rare case. However, before the Year 2000, it was quite unusual for individuals to obtain domain names, not corporations.

I decided to use ".net" instead of ".com" because it was just a thought that I tried a communication provider within my fellow.

In addition, I felt ".net" is cooler than ".com" (no basis).

I got a mail a few days ago.

-----

Hi,

We just wanted to let you know that domain KOBORE.COM is being released back to the market.

Since you own KOBORE.NET, we believe that you might have interest in securing KOBORE.COM as well.

If you are interested, please CLICK ON THIS LINK to get more information and confirm your interest.

Kind regards,

In short, it was sales,"Do you need "KOBORE.COM"?"

-----

Previously, using the domain name containing the famous famous department store name and doing adult video sales site etc, there was a business to sell its domain name to a famous department store at a high price (legal at the time).

I thought it again, I can not deny the possibility that people appears who confuse 'kobore.net' with 'kobore.com', to aim destroying my credit, or selling 'kobore.com' to me at a high price .

Even if I do not plan to use "kobore.com", it may make sense to acquire that right.

But I do not have such extra money.

If that person appears, I will make a fuss, and I am going to plan and implement a strategy that will raise my famous "kobore.net" notice.

Recently I have noticed that people who are able to maintain a healthy daily life despite the elderly,

"do not like alcohol and tobacco at all"

I told the story to my wife, she pointed out,

"My parents house and your parents house are typical counter-examples, aren't them ?"

Yes. She was right.

-----

As I mentioned before,

"A person who is able to maintain a healthy everyday life despite being an elderly person" is

still "a person who is able to maintain a healthy everyday life".

Finally, everyone finishes that state.

So, I think that the trend I should investigate is,

Period from "Healthy everyday life ends" to "Death"

I have the hypothesis that "this period for early people, was sufficiently short compared to for present people, Because medical care was not well developed.

This hypothesis may already be thoroughly investigated and studied.

I'll look it up.

Recently, in Japanese animation and manga, there are many works that deal with "another world".

In the "reader's point of view", I think that it matches the need for "Escapism".

However, when I think of this from the "maker's point of view", I can come to see another aspect.

(1)If they draw them in the extension of the real world, it makes it easier for the hero to take unexpected and unusual action.

と、

and

(2)If they keep the relationship with the real world, it is easier than creating a different world concept from scratch

I think that it also contributes to make the reason of "easy" for the creators.

Of course, I think the design of the different world is rather difficult.

Not only Japan but also literatures of "another world" have been everywhere at any time.

Religions are representatives that deals with "another world" itself.

That aside.

-----

Recently, I watch recorded overseas dramas during making and having lunch every weekend.

In foreign dramas, various concept dramas continue to appear in order to make unusual stories, and they make me happy.

- Secret organization by super genius group (Scorpion)

- Asperger's Syndrome Doctor (Good Doctor)

- Former fraudster criminal investigator (Mentalist)

In the old one

- Country novelist aunt (Aunt Jessica's casebook)

And recently

- Criminal investigation by the devil who can use magic power (Lucifer)

has appeared.

Of course, it is a rule that we don't say "if he is the Great Devil Lucifer, he will be able to solve any case on the spot"

-----

Anyway,

"That country has to keep thinking about various new concepts, so, seems to be very busy"

With sympathy, I am watching the dramas.

It seems that someone has been driven to suicide again by the slander on social media.

I hate to say it now, but this is not the first time, and the same incidents are happening all over the world.

Every time an incident like this occurs, it makes me wonder.

"There are people who say, "Let's stop slandering people on SNS," but there are no people who say, "Let's stop using SNS."

It's very, very strange.

-----

This story, to me, looks a lot like "gun control".

In our country, personal "possession" of a gun is subject to criminal penalties.

Japanese law does not recognize the non-"lethal" effects of a gun (e.g., "self-defense") as an individual right.

However, in our country, that "gun control" has had a tremendous effect.

After all, we don't have any gun murders in this country with the exception of "an antisocial group that seeks to achieve its own private ends through violence or threats"

There have been cases where this anti-social group has used guns on civilians, but the perpetrators, of course, the organization has also been destroyed. The head of the organization has also been guilty of association. They had to live their miserable life, and are reaping the rewards.

Of course, I'm not inclined to pity them at all.

-----

I don't want to say that SNS should be regulated by law.

The public opinion formed by social networking has its problems, but I believe that it also has an effective side.

However, for victims of "slander on SNS," If we show real genuine remorse, sympathy and condolence as an "action",

"To quit SNS" - I think that's it

To be honest, the effect on society of one person quitting SNS will be negligible.

Still, we can at least tell ourselves that "I am the only one who has acted"

-----

People who go around shouting, "Stop slandering people on SNS!

私には、

I feel "vulgar" like

"the person who keeps blasting guns and shouting "we should control guns!""

Anyway, if there is anyone who has decided to quit SNS because of this incident, please let me know.

I would like to take my time and talk to you.

I am not saying that the Tokyo Olympics should be held or cancelled. I'm just saying that I want to see them.

In this statement, you can see my cunning strategy, being a small and petty person.

-----

Because if you insist that "the Olympics should be cancelled" and if Olympics will end without any major problems, the fact that you insisted be clearly recorded in the Internet logs.

で、

In addition, I have never seen a Japanese who can keep saying,

"This Olympics just happened to be a lucky one. It should have been canceled."

after the event.

Most of the time, most people are silent and act as if what they say never happened.

-----

The reverse is also true.

The Olympics just happened to fail, but that was just bad luck. So, it's still good to have done it.

I have never seen a Japanese person who can continue to say something like this even after the event.

-----

The best thing to do would be to keep silent for now and observe what happens.

"See, that's what I've talked before, right?"

The best strategy is to falsify the facts of the past (or make yourself believe so).

"Don't make your flag clear". This is exactly the kind of strategy that suits small, petty people like me.

And like you.

-----

However, I also have a few things that I am trying to make clear.

- Singularity? That day will not come until the human race is extinct.

- English? All you have to do is put all the English words you can find together. You can start studying "past perfect" and "subjunctive" only when you feel you need to use them.

- Easy diet? There is no such thing. If you want to lose weight, all you have to do is not eat.

About three of them.

Previously, I often told the animation "Hyouka".

What I understand the contents of "Hyouka" series, are

(1) "Hard work is no match for genius."

(2) "Genius is not happy".

This animation show us the above realties that I had not reached in my teenager, appearing life-size young people.

-----

I often wrote about the sequel novel "Even if you give me my wings now", by Honobu Yonezawa, and I am reading it again now.

In this novel, 'insignificance of high school club activities' are described, in addition to the above (1) and (2) themes.

There is a story that is a harsh criticism of high school activities that has no purpose, waste time and just make factions with friends.

In comparison with, there are persons who completed two world-wide computer operating systems. Even before entering high school, they focused on what they did and what they wanted, without paying attention to such club activities, etc.

Of course I know such "success experiments" are rare. Moreover I don't care about "success" to be frank,

I think I could have spent the time for 'going crazy' during those high school years.

In other words, "It was me as young".

-----

However, for many people including me, it is difficult to find such an object of "going crazy".

In addition, the common "currency" of teenager is a strange thing that called "friends".

And they cannot escape from the spell of the value of "currency", called "numbers of friends".

The "currency" called "friend" is often treated to be valuable beyond the teenager.

-----

In the column of this month, I will argue the "currency", called "friends"

When I submit all kinds of academic papers or some kinds of conference papers, I have to be checked by reviewers.

Three reviews (Name and affiliation not disclosed) check my paper. If they do not pass this, my paper will not be accepted.

Last week, my paper for an international conference was accepted, and I felt relieved. However, after reading the comments on the reviews, I am confused now.

The summary of each review is, the first reviewer said "I found some defects and I complained about it, however, I reluctantly accept it", and the second, "Excellent. Nothing to complain about it" and the third reviewer was a middle of the first and the second.

"Which review can I believe?

I am in trouble now.

-----

Because now I am given a chance to "Camera Ready" I can modify my paper just one time.

If I try to adapt for a severe review, I have to make extensive revisions. However, the value of my paper is going to be worse with the revisions.

In addition, I want to modify all English in whole my paper.

By the way, I have not believed in "outsourcing of English check by native" since the incident.

The reason was written in this diary.

Recently I have used a free spell check service on the net, and recently I asked my wife to join me in the paid service.

I have never been such a net English checker service, so I cannot compare other services. However, this is "really good".

The free version has been useful, but this paid version provides the following services.

- Corrects definite and indefinite articles (a, the), etc.

- Corrects verbs of subtle usage (e.g., "occur" and "happen") and prepositions (e.g., "for," "to," and "on").

- Suggest correcting the position of the adverb.

The most I moved is

- Suggest a dynamic phrase change from the active to the passive.

In the paid version, I can select the modification policy ( I chose "Academic"), so I am relieved.

The following was the chat with my wife.

Wife: "How much?"

Me: "144 dollars"

Wife: "20,000 yen a month..."

Me: "No. It is "a year". In addition, I can get 45% off the first year..."

Wife: "Why not join it soon"

Well, in my case, I use this service every day, so it pays enough.

However, I will continue to use and write my content with bullshit English.

At least about spell check, I will rely on this service.
